Andrieh Vitimus has an easy going and quite humerus writing style that does not set out to confuse anyone with higher magical terminology unlike countless other books on the subject. It is all explained quite easily in layman’s terms and is ideal for both the novice and adept alike. Each chapter contains what Andrieh calls “games” and the purpose of these games is to build upon the magician’s skill and training to help build himself up to the more intense rituals later on in the book.. Hands on Chaos magic is not intended to be read from cover to cover in one sitting, The idea is to read a chapter fully understand it and the wisdom it contains and play the “game” so to speak whilst building your own journal of notes on your own personal findings to fall back on as a reference at a later point in time. He does however warn that the budding Klippothic magician needs to be mentally stable and well balanced, Overall it is a realistic and functional guide to the dark arts.

Crowley starts off with with an essay on Gematria that is the art of rendering words into numbers for the desired result. However in Crowley’s true style 777 is full of wit and intentional errors, Crowley being an avid reader of mystery novels appears to write his own works in the same style, all the information is there to piece the jigsaw together it’s just upto you the reader to figure the plot out so it seems! The second chapter in the book was originally published by itself as Liber 777 and contains pages of Qabalistic associations and attributions and this is the only known resource to have survived the the collapse of the The Golden Dawn and is an invaluable resource in this respect.
