A lot of different disasters have been happening to the Earth lately. Massive earthquakes, super typhoons, global warming, floods, and even other severe crisis and disasters have been shaking up people’s view about the state of our beloved planet. Some say these events are signs that all point to the Year 2012 Apocalypse. Many different points of views that all point towards this major event have been causing a wave of panic and unrest among many. People have started asking many questions regarding the 2012 prophecies and are trying to find out if this will really be the end of the world as we know it.
It’s hard to determine what is true and what is a hoax. It’s hard to verify fact from fiction with the many websites spreading rumours, viral campaigns, and doomsday movies? One has to wonder whether this widespread panic can be a cause of genuine fear, or whether it is a product of smart businessman to make a lot of money? Either way, people are getting more and more restless in their search for answers.
If people will observe closely, Religion, Science, and even parts of History all believe that the dawning of the Apocalypse is near. The Bible, Nostradamus, the Mayans, and even countless scientific theories all provide speculations about the Year 2012 Apocalypse. SO the big question is: will the world really end 2012? Some say apocalypse 2012 will take place, others say it won’t. Some have their Faith to hold onto, while others turn to Science for answers. One acceptable answer to the big question is that it will depend on the amount of energy of the Earth. This theory is based on the Second Law of Thermodynamics which justifies the likelihood of Heat Death or the eventual stopping of the mechanical movement of the Earth due to its total and irreversible loss of energy.
Well, in the end it does not matter people choose ot look at the situation, there is one simple truth out there which states that all good things must come to an end. And if God made all things “good”, then maybe it’s just a matter of time before the earth comes to an end too.
Sometimes, answers to seemingly hard questions are just right at our fingertips. Maybe the end of the world doesn’t actually rely on the cycles or movements of Comets, or Mayan beliefs, or even the wrath of God. Maybe the coming of the Apocalypse is an inevitable fact that everyone has to face whether they like or not, and that the end of human existence whether it be in some days or in 2012, will entirely depend on how people takes care of the Earth.

For those who don’t know yet, the Book of Mormon was first published in 1830 by a certain Joseph Smith Jr., who claimed to have found gold plates that he discovered buried (in 1823) near his home at Manchester NY. Joseph also stated that a divine being literally guided him to the plates. The plates were encrypted in something similar to ancient Egyptian, which took Joseph the good part of seven years to decipher. The book speaks of the story of Adam and Eve, and also the last days, very much like the Bible does. However, as we will see – there are also striking differences between classic Christianity and Mormonism.
This publication led to the establishment of the Church of the Latter Day Saints, and its members are referred to as Mormons or Latter Day Saints. As with any new doctrine, Mormonism was, and still is, often frowned upon by the classic believers and some even refer to Mormonism as evil. On the other hand, the Mormons claim that they do not preach anything out of context as far as the Bible goes, and are themselves said believers of the Bible as well. The book of Mormon, they claim compliments the Bible and not oppose it.
The Church of Latter Day Saints having been initiated in America, Mormonism obviously has a faithful following in the country – more than any other country to date, in fact. However, the religion has spread far and wide, thanks to the undying (and often frowned upon) efforts of Mormon ‘missionaries’. Mormonism is propagated more through word of mouth than any other methodical approach, and their seemingly hush-hush meets sometimes leads to the belief that Mormonism is a cult, or more of a fraternity than a true religion.
The most striking difference between classic Christianity and Mormonism is probably the difference in opinion on God. Mormons believe in different forms of the Supreme Being, even a man who attained enlightenment and practiced to perfection before being escalated into a state of godliness.
They believe in a God who has flesh and blood, and even a wife…The bible on the other hand clearly speaks of ONE Supreme Being, the creator of the universe and all things in it. Another touchy aspect of the Mormon-Christian arguments is the Mormon belief that the Bible probably has more than a few errors, and the ONE sacred and untouched text is the Book of Mormon. In answer, Christians believe that it is blasphemy to suggest such a thing!

While most religious traditions have beliefs that are considered bizarre by those outside that faith, Mormons seem to have the most beliefs that are routinely rejected by non-Mormons because of their oddness or their ability to be disproved. Here is a countdown of 10 of the most unusual Mormon beliefs.
10. The earth is 7,000 years old. There is no official statement by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints about the age of the earth, but many Mormons (and many Christians of some sects) believe that the age of the earth is on the order of thousands of years rather than billions calculated by widely accepted scientific methods.
9. Mars and Venus have dry rivers. The dry rivers on Mars and Venus were the source of the flowing rivers on earth. The theory is that the dry rivers on Mars and Venus “match” the rivers on Earth and that proves that all three planets were organized from the same source.
8. Dinosaur bones come from other planets. LDS Church Institute instructors teach that fossilized dinosaur bones are from creatures that lived on other worlds that were destroyed in the creation of the earth.
7. Mormon scripture teaches that Cain, who killed his brother Abel, was so evil that God “cursed” him with black skin, thus creating the African race. In a related belief, though the LDS church has deemed any worthy male to be part of the priesthood, black males were not recognized in this capacity until 1978.
6. In cases of the sin of murder, the murder of the sinner and the mixing of his blood with the earth bring forgiveness. In 1977 after the U.S. Supreme Court reinstated the death penalty, Gary Gilmore chose to be executed by firing squad in Utah due to his belief in blood atonement.
5. In 1960, The Prophet Spencer W. Kimball taught that when Native Americans become Mormons their skin turns white. He said “The [Indian] children in the home placement program in Utah are often lighter than their brothers and sisters in the hogans on the reservation.”
4. Also on the subject of Native Americans, the preface to the Book of Mormon from 1981 indicates that descendents of Lehi are a “remnant of the House of Israel” and were ancestors to American Indians. However, the DNA of Native Americans indicates an Asian origin.
3. When a marriage is sealed in the Temple, a husband can know his wife’s celestial name, but she cannot know his. This is so that if he so chooses, he can resurrect her after her death by calling her celestial name.
2. Mormons believe that after the resurrection, Jesus visited America and there he performed miracles and taught.
1. Kolub is a star mentioned in the Book of Abraham as being closest to the throne of God. The Book of Abraham is canonized by the LDS church, Mormon fundamentalist organizations, and other LDS sects. Kolub inspired “Kobol” in Mormon Glen A. Larson’s Battlestar Galactica universe.

Over the past 2 millennia, Christianity and the Catholic Church has evolved and grown to become the largest religious group in the world today. Although Christianity began as a Jewish sect with belief in the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, over the centuries, many cults, sects, and groups like the Mormons, evolved to impart their own understanding and beliefs of the teachings of Jesus Christ.
All over the World, Christians and Christianity is often divided along ethnic, linguistic, beliefs and traditions. These differences gave birth to the different denominations in Christianity like the Puritans, Baptists, Lutherans, Presbyterians, and some cults and sects, and groups too – like the Mormons.
But are the Mormons really a cult or sect, or is there something more than that – or maybe less than what they are assumed to be. What are their beliefs, rites, rituals, and secrets? Generally, a cult or a sect is seen as Devil worshippers or those who are radically opposed to the beliefs of the majority, and even as separatists and fundamentalists.
The Mormons are members of the Mormon Church, or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and is a restorationist Christian church. It is the largest denomination, which originates from the movement founded by Joseph Smith, Jr. in 1830, and is also known as Latter Day Saint movement.
The central tenet of Latter Day Saint movement (LDS)/Mormons is their belief and faith in Jesus Christ. Despite their belief in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, and the Savior, they are considered non-traditional members of Christianity. The Mormons believe in salvation only through Jesus Christ, but the differences with the Catholic Church and other major denominations, and Christian churches is their belief in the ?Book of Mormon?, from which the followers derived their name.
The Mormons believe that the ?Book of Mormon? was translated from some golden plates found by Joseph Smith and was first published in 1830. According to the Book, Mormon was a 4th century prophet/historian who compiled records of his ancestors in a book – Book of Mormon. The Book is believed to record the teachings of Jesus Christ, and many other prophets, and their travels and ministry among the civilizations of pre-Columbian Americas.
Besides the ?Bible? (Old and New Testament) as the main scriptural text, the Mormons also believe in scriptural text like The ?Book of Mormon?, ?Doctrine and Covenants?, and the ?Pearl of Great Price?, and this often sets them at loggerheads with the Catholic Church, and other denominations. Another of their beliefs is that Jesus Christ, as the leader and head of the Church, reveals HIS will and instructions to the President of the Church (looked upon as a modern day prophet), and individual members also receive revelations from GOD in conducting their daily life. Besides this, some fundamentalist Mormon groups also believe in plural marriages.
All these beliefs and differences sets them apart from the majority groups in Christianity, and hence the misconception that the Mormons are a cult/sect. But every human being has a right to try and find GOD, Truth, and religion in their own way, and with their own belief in what will lead them to salvation. As long as a group or movement does not indulge in mysterious rites, rituals, and human/animal sacrifices, it is not right to brand them as a cult or sect.

Being attached to a cross of wood as a death sentence, or crucifixion, was the cruelest penalty in Roman times. Being crucified involved acute pain and suffering, and the process could take days.
A person who was crucified was usually being punished for a capital crime or committing a serious offense, and it was the utmost punishment a person could receive. It is therefore important to remember the image that a cross would convey – an image of ultimate pain and suffering on earth.
Even in modern terms, crucifixion still stands out as particularly cruel. There are many current media reports of people being tortured or subject to harsh interrogation techniques, but few of these reports measure up to the pain and suffering one would go through on the cross.
Unclothed, suffering wounds from beatings, nailed to a board with arms and legs mutilated, exposed to elements and creatures, and hanging for hours or even days until your life slowly ebbed away is an image that haunts the imagination in any era or civilization. Such punishment is or should be reserved for a truly evil being, a person who has defiled and mutilated fellow humans without remorse. In other words, a person who has forfeited their place as a member of the human family.
In contrast, punishing a just person, someone who healed and guided people, someone who demonstrated love to everyone, would be the ultimate injustice carried out, and an apparent triumph of evil. The victory of the cross is easy to miss.
Yet it is not just the triumph over evil that Christians celebrate on the cross, but the great sacrifice of a loving father, our father. He who wanted to show his love for us, to forgive us for all our wrongdoings, sacrificed his innocent son so that one day we could all learn of his love and come closer to him.
The cross was also a reminder for all Romans, a very stern warning, to avoid making the same mistakes or they too would face the same punishment. Displaying the cross in public was a deterrent against future transgression or it was supposed to be at least. Instead, it turned out to be quite a motivator for all members of the church to take up their own crosses and spread the word of this injustice against God’s only son.
What Christians must commit to memory is that wearing a crucifix does not make one clean or protect that person from injury. The purpose of the crucifix is to serve as a silent reminder. It is a reminder of God’s love for all people and his greatest sacrifice. It also reminds us of the wickedness within us that, if not constrained, could go on a rampage and demolish everything beautiful in its path.
For Christians, the cross is reminder of the price of life and the limitless reach of love.

Perhaps if people are asked what kind of special power they want to have, many will probably say the ability to fly. Who doesn’t want to fly? But to some people, to fly is nothing more than imagination, wherein you can fly by thinking of happy thoughts and getting fairy dust from Tinkerbell. But believe it or not, there is an existing psychic gift that allows you to fly!
In the psychic realm, levitation is a psychic gift similar to flying. Levitation is probably one of the hardest, but the most rewarding psychic skills. Levitation refers to the act of being able to float on air, using the will power of the mind.
Long throughout history, cases of levitation have been recorded with testimonials from eye witnesses of the phenomenon. People speculate that the world we live in is governed by laws, like science. Because levitation seems to encompass the laws of science, many people do not believe in its existence. But then, there has been a number of famous names who have shown that they can levitate. Among these people are Daniel Douglas Homes, Buddha, and even Jesus himself!
So now that the nature of the psychic gift of levitation has been discussed, the question is — how can a person achieve this psychic power? Simple, we are all psychic to some degree. Therefore, we all have the potential to possess this power.
Of course, like any other psychic talents and skills, levitation can also be honed and mastered but only if you have an open mind to help you reach a higher state of consciousness and learning. The following are a few secrets to how famous individuals in history perfected levitation.
PURIFICATION OF THE BODY. Purification of the body means cleaning one’s self — having a healthy diet and lifestyle. Purifying one’s self also means resisting man’s greatest temptation — sex. This may sound strict, but levitation requires that you should avoid any form of sexual intercourse or sexual stimulation. This act is seen as a symbol of impurity. So it must be avoided since levitation needs you to be pure.
MAGNIFICATION OF THE MIND. Secondly, the mind should be empowered. Levitation requires a powerful mind in order to be achieved. You can do this through proper meditation. This is also the key to clearing your thoughts from unwholesome and unclean thoughts. Through proper meditation you will be able to achieve a feeling of lightness which in return will help you levitate.
AWAKENING THE SPIRIT. This last procedure in the art of levitation is very crucial. You must establish a very strong connection with the spirit within you. Just remember, your spirit must be strong to help you lift the body in air.
Levitation is a very remarkable psychic gift, but you cannot learn how to accomplish it overnight. It requires utmost discipline, dedication, and an open mind, combined with these three key secrets, to fully unleash the potential of your levitating power.

There has always been a lot of curiosity about a psychic reading. What do you think is the reason why people are so drawn to the concept of a psychic reading? Is it really true that it can reveal everything?
Let us try to understand what psychic reading is first. Psychic reading by definition, is a method to know about the past, present, and the future. This is done by a psychic through extrasensory means. Sometimes, there are tools that used in a psychic reading — like tarots, crystal balls, and tea leaves. There are also some psychic readers who do not use any tool at all, they simply can read a person by seeing auras and the energies surrounding them. However, even though psychic reading is indeed popular, we cannot deny the fact that there are some people who doubt its powers. To rule out any doubt, let us give light to the 5 common questions about a psychic reading:
CAN A PSYCHIC READING LET ME COMMUNICATE WITH THE OTHER SIDE?
Once in a blue moon, a very gifted individual emerges that posses talents beyond that of a regular psychic. This special individual is commonly referred to as a psychic medium, and they posses many psychic gifts — such as being able to see into the future and most of all, the ability to communicate with the spirits of those who have passed on. In fact, they can even find out the insights of these spirits on you past, present, and future endeavors.
CAN A PSYCHIC READING FIND ME MY TRUE LOVE OR SOUL MATE?
Psychics have the gift to see what we fail to see, and the future is not an exemption. Because they are able to see what is to come, they can also see what is to come in your love life.
CAN A PSYCHIC READING GUIDE ME WITH MY CAREER?
Psychics have the ability to see through every person’s strengths and weaknesses. A psychic can help you identify your own strengths and weaknesses that you haven’t discovered yet. This allows you to maximize your potential. A psychic will also be able to tell you what is to come for your career. By this, you can prepare better for the challenges and opportunities that are to come.
CAN A PSYCHIC READING HELP ME WITH FAMILY LIFE?
Psychics can know people through their readings. They know what has happened in the past, and what will happen in the future. For this reason, a reading by a psychic is always beneficial to a family. This is because each member of the family will understand one another better, and they can learn from their mistakes, and not to mention, they can prepare better for what is to come.
CAN A PSYCHIC READING GUARANTEE BETTER HEALTH AND WELLNESS?
It is admitted that psychics are not physicians. But still, a psychic can see what is to come in the future, and not to mention, they can read the energies that surround you. This talent allows them to speak about a person’s wellness and health, and they can help you prepare if a storm is ahead.
Of course, there are many other questions that people have about a psychic reading. The argument here though is not that if they believe in its existence, or not. The main reason why people have so many questions about readings done by psychics is that they are very much curious to try it too, but they are hesitant because they do not know much about the wonders of the psychic realm.
